That looks delicious, Melanie! Is the sauce Thai red curry?
no, not thai curry.
burn some onion cubes and pieces of bacon in a big pot with oil, insert the filled peppers (they need to STAND ALONE so choose the right ones in the market, flat bottom) add water that peppers are HALF covered , add tomatoe purree and some beef buillon ( you have better than beef beef base) let cook for about 20 minutes in half heat, remove peppers when they are soft, add some Bechamel sauce OR Cream, if you want, thick the sauce with flour or corn starch. The white color of cream and the red color from tomatoe puree makes the sauce look like this...
for the filling i use minced beef ( or is it ground beef?) onions, whole egg, little garlic, salt, pepper, 1 wheat bun .
sorry not minced beef for the filling it is minced PORK, i am working on my own cookbook i want to give as present for good friends birhtday, reason for making pics from all my dishes :-)
