My mother in law (if she were still alive) would tell you we are having ground sirloin steak, but in reality we are having plain ole hambergers (meat only) plus squash and salad...

Oh how I'd love to find some of that fish up here. It's so delicious and yet it doesn't seem to be available. I must be in the wrong part of the country.

ooo!!! Sweet potatoes AND crab cakes! Two things I love! Care to share your recipe?
For us tonight, sirloin steak on the grill, sauteed mushrooms, and broccoli and cauliflower with a little grated cheddar on top.

We had Thanksgiving early since DS is flying back to Iraq this morning. Boo!

We had ham, mashed potatoes, ham gravy, mac & cheese, zipper peas, baked beans, strawberry cake, pecan pies.

Sure, here is the recipe:

1 pound crab claw meat
1 teaspoon seafood seasoning
2 teaspoons fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon bread crumbs
1 whole egg (use about 1 egg for every two cakes)
2 tablespoons sweet peppers, diced
1 tablespoon onion, diced
1 pinch minced garlic
1 teaspoon fresh cilantro, chopped
1/4 cup sweet potato, mashed

Add all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and stir until sticky.

Use about 2 tablespoons to form into patties.

I serve them with lemon aioli
