I'm just drinking today. I have a miserable cold and don't feel like eating. I just had an English Muffin and had to force it down. So, dinner tonight will be freshly juiced garden carrots and fireside apples, both from the farmer's market.
Here's another alternative that I love doing. Get a can of big buttermilk biscuits and, once you've cooked your hamburger on the stove, put cheese, bacon, pickles, etc., on it and flatten out one of the biscuits. Put your burger on it, then flatten out another biscuit and put it on top of the burger. Pinch the biscuits together around the edges so the burger is completely inside the biscuit. Then bake as directed. You'll have a great burger baked inside a light, buttery bun! (Just dip in ketchup or mustard and scarf it down!)
Wow! This really sounds good. I began thinking of all the different options with leftovers, etc. Thanks!
Hope you feel better soon! I had it last week--finally back to the land of the living. Sorry, can rep you
