Pumpkin spice and vanilla are great eggnogs. The regular is okay but I like it spiced up and more creamy.

I like eggnog around the holidays...no booze for me, I prefer it straight from the carton. I also love the eggnog shakes at McDonald's, but last year I couldn't find one in Houston!

Haven't had it in so many years--not sure if I like it anymore. I remember it being pretty good--Stewart's eggnog.

I like MaDouDou (the real nog part) with a little egg nog. Sprinkle some nutmeg on top and it's great. I only get the egg nog out of a carton--not drinking or eating anything with raw eggs.

Heck, I used to drink homemade blender eggnog for breakfast (minus the bourbon!). Now I buy it from a local dairy that makes its own. Yummy!

How can I get an invitation?

However, the store-bought stuff leaves me cold.
I use a special slow-simmered recipe, that involves whipping the egg whites with sugar until they peak, blending the egg yolks seperately, then whisking together the eggs, whole cream, sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg. Once it cools, I whip more cream with a little sugar and nutmeg until it has hard peaks, and then gently fold it into the nog (I don't float it on top). Then I keep it in a stoneware tabletop urn above a candle warmer, put the bottles of rum, brandy, and bourbon next to it, and let people choose their mix.

I never have to throw any out. Stay-overs usually put it on their cereal - especially oatmeal - in the morning.
Wow, that sounds like WAY too much work.

My vegetarian wife has got me hooked on the Silk Nog. It doesn't make you feel like a sloth after you drink it. Nice!

I love egg nog but rarely drink it because it's so darned fattening.

It's a good holiday drink. I enjoy it maybe once or twice a year.

I've never tried the McDonald's eggnog shake or any of the eggnog flavored drinks at the various coffee shops, but I've been meaning to.

Love it! But 1 is enough...a couple glasses of it would give me the entire allowed weight gain for the holidays!
