... Chief Rabbi Metzger ... demanded a second opinion, and asked that the goose liver be sent to three non-Jewish professional chefs in Europe, who are very familiar with the taste of Pork. The three chefs confirmed the discovery of a "rare culinary duplicate".

Once they get the flavor of pork into their kosher brains, all bets are off. Next stop: BACON.

Yes, that's a recognizable concern.

However, there is already, and for a long time, kosher bacon, bacon made from the same part of the cow that pork bacon comes from in a pig, and marketed as Breakfast Beef or Beef Frye.

It just doesn't taste like -pig- bacon. It sounds to me that jlawrence knows the score. The subs, chicken, turkey, goat, cow bacon just doesn't taste like the real deal. Vegetarian 'bacon strips' are terrible. I've tried all of them.

eat pork if you want the taste of pork
foie gras is nothing but a fatty liver from a poor, forced-over-fed goose
