Whoa---hold on. Too much salt does not cause high blood pressure. Those with high blood pressure should limit their sodium intake.
High blood serum cholesterol can lead to heart disease. Dietary cholesterol does not convert to blood serum cholesterol. No one should take health advice fron strangers online. If you have health concerns, see your doctor.

As far as "normal" goes, what ever is normal for you is normal.

"Excessive salt keeps the circulatory volume higher than it should be, exerting excess fluid pressure on blood vessel walls. These walls react to this stress by thickening and narrowing, leaving less space for the fluid already cramped in the blood compartment, raising resistance and requiring higher pressure to move blood to the organs. The heart has to pump against this high pressure system...This 24/7 activity can cause the heart to enlarge dramatically, and dangerously. The kidney contains around one million tiny, delicate filters comprised of blood vessels. The increase in pressure transmitted to the kidneys damages its vascular system leading to a disorder known as hypertensive nephrosclerosis, a major cause of kidney disease."

"Those with high blood pressure" are one in every 4.7 Americans.

"This genetic disorder, essential hypertension, is present in approximately 65 million Americans..It is controlled by restricting salt... A healthy diet with salt reduction to roughly less than five grams substantially lowers blood pressure...Around the world, lower salt usage is associated with lower pressure.

We hardly live in a salt-free culture, and must therefore read labels, and cut our salt intake to less than five grams per day."

The OP did not ask for health advice and I did not give one out. Both elnina and I gave out the contents of salt, calories, and cholesterol content in the food. I added the sentence "Too much salt ..High cholesterol.." as the opening to share my husband's experience and what his cardiologists confirmed.

But unless you have been throughly tested, you cannot know if you are one of the people who are susceptible to sodium-critical risk factors. So, it is unwise to regularly consume a high salt diet.

Remember, too, that those people who are susceptible to high blood pressure later in life, will be accelerating their risk with high salt consumption at an early age.

It's fine for you to tell people to see their doctor, but those who do not, and are blissfully unaware of their blood pressure, would be very well advised to monitor their salt intake. Yes, If you have health concerns, see your doctor. But that is not the same as saying "If you have no obvious and conspicuous health concerns, pack away all the salt-heavy junk food you want."

I think the only time I did eat one whole pizza was when I had a medium-sized "stuffed crust" pizza from Pizza Hut and didn't want to leave any leftovers. I was quite stuffed afterward and I probably won't do it again.

I live in a pizza-centric region of the country so these Papa Johns places are pretty rare, and the local pizzerias drove all the Pizza Huts away years ago.

I -can- eat a whole *small* (12-inch) bacon and mozz pizza by myself, and usually, when I buy one, I do eat the whole thing in one sitting.

But I can't eat those often - mostly -because- I eat them in one sitting

So I can eat 1 whole small bacon and mozz pizza in one sitting, once every 3 or 4 months.

I don't consider it normal at all; around here you can buy pizza by the slice, which seems a whole lot more normal to me than eating almost a full pound of food, consisting mostly of dough, in a single sitting. In my region, 2-3 slices from a medium is pretty normal. "Manly he-men athletic" types who have no health issues can usually handle 3-4 instead. More than that even for the testosterone crew goes beyond the range of "normal."

This is an issue when ordering pizza, because for example, a large pie at Uno's...that is enough to feed a crowd of high school boys. I can barely finish off one slice there. But, another place, a large pizza is enough for two people, barely.

I can eat a whole frozen pizza myself. I have noticed that those frozen pizzas are getting smaller, but the box is the same size and so is the price. I used to be able to cook one pizza to share with my daughter...but now we each need one.

I was very confused by the title until I opened the thread and read it was a pizza! I was picturing some kind of pie crust filled with cheese. Which might actually be quite tasty, too...

As noted it would depend on the type of pizza and size. I'd never eat a single slice from a chain, I abhor chain pizza. But the authentic pizza places around me make some fantastic, real pizzas. I usually eat half a small pizza in one sitting, which is probably around 2-3 slices, or maybe 3-4 slices. It's because it's SO darn good, I don't ordinarily make such a pig of myself but I just can't help it with a really good pizza.

I used to eat half a pizza every Friday night. Now on the rare occasions I eat pizza I try to limit myself to 2 slices, although I could eat more.

I've seen lots of people eat an entire pizza by themselves. I don't think it's that uncommon at all.
