Grits with a little butter and honey. Yummm!

Oatmeal, homemade (it's really better than the packaged stuff!) and a little brown sugar.

Steel cut/irish oatmeal with walnuts & banana.

Regular oatmeal only if I don't have the sc/irishO with bananas & walnuts

Grits with milk, butter & a tad bit of sugar.
*** I like my Grits lumpy. So I add quite a bit more grits. After it's cool I let it sit. Then I cut up the grits with a spoon or knife, reheat add milk & that tad of sugar. That's how I grew up eating grits.
Our family liked lumpy mashed potatoes, too. LOL...

If in a hurry... a piece of fruit & a yogurt with english muffin.

Oatmeal with fruit on top, usually frozen or fresh berries.

I also like Cream of Wheat with milk and a little sugar or honey.

I get really OD'd on hot cereals after a while. This morning, I changed it up. I was steaming some rice to pack for lunch with some stirfry leftovers, and I made too much. So I took the excess rice, added a little half and half, brown sugar, a handful of dried cranberries and pecans, sprinkled on some nutmeg and cinnamon, and it was delicious!

I've done that too...
I've also cooked up some tiny pasta like ditalini or orzo and added butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins. that's good too...
the rice almost sounds like rice pudding, but without the eggs.
GOOD STUFF, MAYNARD!!!

Corn grits, cooked the night before on low heat for two hours. Warm up in the morning and top with butter.

Steel-cut Irish oatmeal soaked the night before, cook in the morning and top with brown sugar and warm milk.

If we don't have either of those two in the house, I don't eat breakfast.

I like rice and shine or steel cut oats with a bit of liquid sweetener-- maple syrup, honey, agave-- and maybe some nuts and a little bit of fruit like banana or a few blueberries.

Hmm, I'd have to say just basic oatmeal with sugar, cinnamon and milk. I also like granola cereal and milk that has been warmed.
