I've tried many varieties of apples (pink lady, golden delicious, granny smith, etc.).. so many I've lost count.

So far, I find Gala apples to be sweetest..

(Need something healthy to quench my sweet tooth.. it's a new year resolution.....)

Honeycrisp!

So crisp (obviously) and sweet. They're my absolute favorite.

ETA: Fuji apples are good too.

I think Golden Delicious Apples are very sweet, certainly too sweet for me. I prefer Fuji Apples.

I just saw a wheel chart at the grocery store this afternoon that shows apples from sweetest to most tart. Honestly I didn't look that closely at the sweet side because I'm more of a tart apple lover.

We LOVE all apples but a very favorite & sweetest is Honey Crisp. They cost more, but are very worth it. They make great pies, too. Only thing if your going to use honey crisp in a pie I would use half of another favorite apple of yours. Honey crisp are very, very juicy. They'll make your pie too juicy if you use all H C.
We also love gala, fuji, golden delious.

Red apples tend to be sweeter than green. Golden Delicious, Pink Lady, Gala.
