I was pumped to find that the store had mangoes for a dollar today so I bought five of them. Best fruit under the sun....who else loves mangoes?

Passion Fruit is another great one, but I have a hard time finding it here

Mangoes are great as long as someone else peels them.

We had mango trees in our backyard in Jakarta. When we visited family in India, they were everywhere. And I mean huge, plump, juicy, fleshy ones. Not the little stringy ones you get in this part of the world.

I am not a fan of mangoes, I prefer peaches. I don't like how stringy they are, or the large middle section. And for some reason, the flavor of mangoes is just "off" to me.

No need to peel them if you don't want to. You can slice them, score the flesh, and turn them inside out like a hedgehog. Like this: VeganYumYum How to Slice a Mango

As a child in Sudan I used to eat the skin.

Good ones are soft and not stringy.... Like Avocados it's a challenge to get them right.
