I love Italian food... and cook some awesome Italian as well.
I just cannot see myself frequenting places like "Olive Garden", "Romano's" & any other places for Italian Pasta dish unless they actually home make their noodles (less than an hour from when I eat).
To justify how cheap pasta is... unless everything in the restaurant is "superfine topnotch" & will be better than what I can "put out"... I really just cannot see spending my dollars there.
So one of my least fav. will be "Olive Garden", their stuff did never wowed me & "Romano's" their ribs is worse than Smokey Bones / Famous Dave's... their pasta range the same as "Olive Garden".
My fav. "haunt" for some years now which I will travel a couple hours for is Fazzini's (used to go they quite a bit for business)... a 2nd / 3rd generation (I believe they were there for a loooong time) Italian Noodle house that is as old school as they come. It really is ONLY about the "food" with them.
