Here's the thing. I think squirrels are cute. I think cows are cute, but I still eat them. I think pigs are cute, but I still eat them. I think lambs are cute, but I eat them, and I also care about the comfort of chickens. If something is born for the purpose of eating them, then I'm OK with it. I just want their care to be humane.

sorry about this, as I am a bit ignorant about these things coming from the UK. do you have hedgehogs in the USA?.also do people eat them?. and yes they do.

There are no wild, native hedgehogs in America. The only ones are those that can be bought in a pet store or from a private breeder. Even those sources have few available.

I've never had squirrel, but this thread is making me hungry. I'd love to try it. If it's half as good as rabbit, I'm sure I'd go for seconds.

I wonder with all the wild boars, why eat squirrels. I know they are clean because they still my tomatoes and melons and everything I grow but they don't look like they have lot of meat vs wild boats.
