I chose cereal because they are usually fortified or naturally occurring with a ton of nutrients and you can get some with great fiber and grains to fill you up.

Hey, you said one thing.
Ditto, with a poached egg and toasted, well-buttered English Muffin, and a cold left-over slice of pepperoni NY style pizza, and a tall glass of ice filled tomato juice with a wedge of lemon.
That's one thing (meal) right?

Oh, well, if it had to be 1 thing: a warm cinnamin bun, slit and salted butter inserted so it would run down my fingers.

Although I choose the steak and egg for only one to try, I really like some food with light taste.

So many things mentioned that I really like. grits. biscuits and gravy, eggs, hot cereal but the truth is the one thing I really want every morning, Summer, Winter, Spring or Fall is a big hot cup of coffee. I used to drink coffee 6 times a day, am down to only one usually, but needs to be there at breakfast or I am cranky all morning.
