I heard about this on our local news last night. I must say I had totally sided with the employee until I read your posts. The news story I saw didn't say anything about frozen patties. The story I saw made it seem like a total accident and that the boss knew the employee had accidentally put too much salt in the burger. The employee claims that the boss tried to remove the excess salt and then continued cooking the burger and served it. After reading your posts here, I see a whole other side to the story. Thanks for your perspectives.

I was wondering the same thing sandlovertoo!!!

Okay, I when I was younger and worked fast food (Hardee's) they also used pre-made burger patties. Seasoning the hamburger patties was not a requirement. Also, some fast food restarants still may not have cameras yet. I am not sure if all McDonald's do or not. Depending on the store and it's layout it is possible to see who has placed an order. If the customer comes inside of the store the cook may be able to see them better than if they used drive-thru.

Post News, McDonald's Fines Customers Who Take Too Long to Eat.

Eat up, shop fast and move along.

That's the message some stores and fast-food establishments, including McDonald's, is giving its customers in England.

At 40 McDonald's there, drive-thru customers are given 45 minutes to finish their meal and leave the parking lot before a $225 ticket is issued, The Guardian reported.

Wow, it seems pretty extreme , though who on earth would want to spend 45 minutes in there ! I would have thought people would want to get out pretty quickly...

That would be my thinking also. Why would a person bother going to a drive-thru and then spend 45 minutes, outside, in a parking spot? There is probably more to it.............

It sounds like they are parking there to eat and then leaving their cars parked there while they go shop next door, therefore taking up space for other customers.

Post News, McDonald's plans to offer you a latte with that Big Mac.

McDonald's (MCD) this year will begin to roll out one of its biggest and most expensive new product concepts ever in a bid to put the heat on Starbucks in the battle for upscale coffee drinkers.

The long-anticipated move comes as Starbucks announced Monday that CEO Jim Donald is out and that founder and Chairman Howard Schultz would retake the reins as CEO.
