Not that I have ever done that.

Giada.
LMAO!!!!!!

He's one of the judges sometimes. The judges alternate. I watch it even when he's not on, though. But when he is, I tend to pay more attention to him than to the food.

Scott Conant | Welcome

Yep. I point Scott out to him every time.

Your wife knows about your obsession with bobblehead Giada, right?

I'm pretty sure I could do it.

We have a local grocery store that has a fresh or free policy. If you find an out-of-date item on their shelves, they will give you an identical item that is not expired. There was a summer when we were experiencing an extreme financial hardship, and we supplemented our extremely meager grocery budget with the expired items that we could find. I came up with a lot of unusual and interesting meals that summer

Oh heck yeah. She even calls out " Hey bigman your food fantasy is on" when she is watching her.

I am not even going to comment on the bobble-head thing.

I think that's awesome. Not that you were struggling, but that you could find a way to make a good meal regardless.

Just one last thing: Scott Conant is PERFECT. (Except for, y'know, that he's married to someone who is not me.)

its a good show. its one of the shows i dont mind watching so much that my wife forces me to watch. i like that it doesnt carry over from one show to another. its nicely divided up into 3 rounds and then you have a winner.

SC is kinda a snooty MF when it comes to cooking pasta..
He's like "oh..they are going to try to cook pasta for me"

He (SC) made a simple tomato sauce on a show once..Very simple..
Cooked for like 10- 15 minutes.. That was simply the best sauce in my life..

Back to subject.. I'm very creative.. in the time frames allowed..NO I could not do it...

I love to watch Chopped! I couldn't do it though; I love to cook but I've never heard of some of those ingredients.

I watched Chopped all the time. I would have a hard time coming up with ideas in that short amount of time with such strange ingredients, too much pressure.

Coming soon is Chopped All Stars, I am really looking forward to that. Now we can see some of the judges sweat.
