With the "nice" summer season approaching, what is your favorite food item to BBQ.
How often do you BBQ?

Does it always turn out good or not so good ?

My favorites are:

Hamburgers

Rib Steak (beef)

Elk Steak or ribs

Thick Pork chops

Pork ribs

Swordfish and or Tuna or Yellowtail

As soon as the wind dies down I am out and cooking.

HW Happy trails.

Definitely the most common fav. is the ribeye for DH to grill.
Next for him is ribs (baby back / short ribs)
Brisket
Satays
Whole duck / chicken
Fish / Lamb / Pork / Mo' Chicken / Shrimp / Pizza...

His least fav. thing to grill is hot dogs & burgers = too mudane I guess for him to break out the charcoal & do all that work.

Given the choices in the poll, I chose ribeye steak. I also like to grill fish (sometimes whole), shrimp, chicken thighs, sausage, veggies (zucchini, bell peppers, tomatoes) and even fruit. To me, some grilled foods just taste better than food cooked in the kitchen.

I like to grill a whole leg of lamb and I have fun making clams on the half-shell with tomato/hot sauce and bacon and parmesan cheese....butter and garlic ones, too.

First off let me say that here in NC BBQ is a NOUN.

As for grillin' food on charcoal and a nice open flame..

1. Steak
2. hot dogs / sausages
3. vegetables
4. Seafood
5. hamburger (at least 3/4 pound size)
6. real chicken, not the steroid induced mutants.
7. Ribs fit in anywhere on the continuum.
