I don't mind some spice, but I don't want it to HURT to eat it! I have friends who think "the hotter, the better"...I just don't agree. I don't think eating should hurt!!
I remember one time while eating in a Japanese / Thai restaurant an old guy walks in with his own bag of chili peppers and gives it to the cook and tells them he likes it extra hot & spicey and gave them the bag of chilis to make his meal
why do people make fun of people who cant stand hot & spicey foods? like it's a sign of weakness or something, and people who can tolerate hot food are seen as being so tough, the hotter & spicer the food the tougher the person?
seems like people who eat that stuff cant even taste regular foods and say it has no flavor
I hope not, my world would not be complete without hot and spicey food and I would like to think I am still a little feminine and not at all macho!!!!!

Yes, it is just like cutting yourself and/or punching yourself in the nose. Macho.
