I think that some foods taste have changed over the years by design. I can tell you that Yoo-Hoo don't taste the same now as it did in the 50's, same for Chocolate Cow.

I still love my cap'n crunch but it really scrapes the roof of my mouth. I don't remember this being such a problem as a kid.

I just bought a box of Fiber one(the one that looks like twigs) and I find it a gagging agent. Anyone else feel this way?

Healthy: Special K
Unhealthy: Frosties

I don't know if any of you Yanks have either of these over in the US but if you don't, make sure to stock up if you come over here on vacation.

Strawberry Special K

Has anyone else ever tried Malt-o-Meal's Blueberry Muffin Top cereal? I know this is an off-brand, but this cereal is awesome! (And there is no brandname equivilant...it's a Malt-O-Meal original.)

You're right, dojilynn, Blueberry Muffin Tops have got to be THE best cereal if you like blueberries. The first time I tried them, I grabbed a few to eat dry, and I couldn't stop, I ate them like candy right out of the box! No milk needed, that's for sure.

But when I was little, my favorites were Corn Pops and Rice Chex. Yum!

I remember when cereal companies used to include those little toys with their products. When my brother was a little kid and went shopping with my mom, he'd get a different brand and type of cereal just for the toy inside. He ate most of them, but I do remember some went stale after sitting on top of the refrigerator for a few months. I also remember cereal companies put the toys at the bottom of the box to encourage kids to eat the product first before digging for the toy, which didn't work very well, my brother, and I'm sure many other kids, found a way around that too by openning the bottom of the box and getting the toy!
