Five Guys. A huge burger usually does it for me, as well as their fries.

A burger always sounds good to me.
But when I am starving, it sounds EXTRA good.

If I want something hot and just need to sate hunger quick, with no particular leaning for anything, microwave popcorn works fine. In flavor and nutrition it's pretty neutral so I don't feel gluttonous. It tides me over and doesn't ruin my appetite for the actual meal I assume I'd really be preparing or waiting for.

When I'm very hungry I will run to the meat market and pick up a porterhouse. I can prepare a good tasting steak really fast without too much effort.

It would have to be something filling, flavorful, and easy to eat (this is not the time for struggling with shellfish or abundant fish bones). Depending on the time of day I'd say:

Before noon, would probably be a cheddar omelet, fresh buttered bread, strong coffee.

After noon, would be steak, yellow rice & black beans, tomato/red onion/cucumber salad.
