Is there anything you make with yellow cake mix, or any other kind besides just a cake? My bf buys in bulk and we have fifty million boxes of cake mix downstairs that need to be made and I don't want just cake...

I think that I would donate to a church, homeless shelter, or food bank. I have no idea what else can make with yellow cake mix--maybe some cookies and fancy desserts. If you can come up with some recipes, then you could write a food blog or cookbook.

He buys surplus EVERYTHING! The first time I took a real look around in his basement I couldn't believe my eyes! I could have literally gone shopping down there.

It hasn't been as bad since I moved in and we are living together.... there is just no need for all of that, lol....

Banana cream cake - it's a yellow layer cake. The middle is a banana custard with sliced bananas, then topped with another layer of cake. And then the whole thing is covered with lightly-sweetened whipped cream and one final layer of banana slices.

I know you can use yellow cake mix as the base to make sweet roll dough and of course cookies. I think there will be lots of recipes on line. Here's one

Cheesecake Bars
Bottom layer:
1 yellow cake mix
1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter, melted and cooled
1 egg, beaten
Top layer:
1 box (1 lb.) confectioners sugar
2 eggs, beaten
8 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat oven to 350 F. Butter and flour a 9- by 13-inch cakepan. Add cake mix and beaten egg to melted butter. Spread mixture into prepared pan. In a separate bowl, mix together confectioners sugar, eggs, softened cream cheese and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread over bottom layer and bake 30 to 35 minutes.

and another
Quick and Easy Peanut Butter Cookies
1 yellow cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup crunchy peanut butter
Granulated or sparkling white sugar
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease baking sheets. Mix together cake mix, eggs and oil until cake mix is completely dissolved into dough. Stir in peanut butter. Shape dough into small balls and roll in sugar. Place each on a greased cookie sheet. Press fork tines across dough and then press again to make a cross-hatch pattern and flatten the dough. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Remove from pans and cool.
