Since around the end of May, I've cut out most refined carbohydrate-rich foods, especially white rice.
I haven't had soda in over two years.
I've cut out all sweet treats I love, like cookies, cake, pie, ice cream, etc. My new "vice" is Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches (only 140-150 calories per sandwich).
I've lost 12 pounds so far.

Macadamia nuts..............8 bucks for a little jar!!!
Most cuts of beef.......they are just over the top. Now I stick to Offal, more bang for your buck and usually under 2 bucks a pound.

I eat less fish, since I found a living worm in the fresh fish I got at the store. It is also very hard to find affordable frozen fish that is not from a questionable country, so I just don't buy much of it.
Also, I just say no to frying anything at home, since I don't want the smell or the mess.
Also, I do not eat big breakfasts anymore. I like the idea of it, but my body does not want it. It is happier with a little cereal and skim milk than with sausage or bacon and eggs.

Since being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes several months ago I have cut out potato chips (a former addiction!), almost all sweets including most fruit (just berries in the a.m.) and cut way back on my former pizza consumption! I was already heading in this direction even before the diagnosis, so I am not feeling deprived. I exercise and work out like a fanatic to make up for the carbs I still consume. I am feeling much better for all of this.

Soda, only have it sporadically like when I'm in a restaurant or if it's the only thing available.
White bread, haven't had it in years.
Whole milk. First I was down to 1% and then skim, but I somehow became lactose intolerant and had to switch to alternatives. However cheese has been the hardest to avoid!
Greasy foods in general. They don't agree with my stomach.
Sweets. I used to have a sugary snack all the time. Now I just have no real desire for them really.

I cut back on fresh seafood to only once a month, it's so expensive and since I am not working over the summer because the schools are closed money is tight.

No more Tequila(tokillya)..cut back on meats, sweets(esp choc candy bars), white bread(just say no), = other stuff.
Added more Salmon(only fish I can get around here that's any good), added more veggies(always liked them), more water, less milk(really miss that),more fruits.

Cut back on chocolate , soda/cola drinks, red meat, pasta, pizza, bread.
Been eating more popcorn for bulk and fiber, more veggies and drinking lots of non-flavored sparkling water/club soda. And for a sweet treat, I have a frozen Italian Ice which not only helps with hydration, but it also satisfies my sweet tooth and my craving for the loss of my most favorite chocolate!! And since making the changes, I have lost weight!!
