I do for most.
How to Wash Fruit and Vegetables: 7 steps (with pictures)
Reason being, I keep thinking that someone else with gross hands probably grabbed that zucchini before I did. Maybe I'm just weird. I wash my meat, too, but I don't soap it. That would be hilarious, though. I even do it for bags of salad. I'll put a drop of dish washing liquid in 'em and wash 'em 'til they don't suds anymore.

No, I rarely do more than rinse off fruits and veggies and sometimes not even that. I guess I like living on the edge!

I might wash fruit and veggies with water, but NEVER with soap.

I use dish soap on the skin of produce that's been waxed and sits in the store uncovered...just rinsing doesn't get it off. I don't rinse bagged salad or anything else marked as prewashed, though.

Anything that has a hard skin that I can rub with my hands, apples, oranges, bell peppers etc.

Everything else gets a vinegar wash.

Except taters I just scrub hard with a brush.

Oh yeah I only use Classic Dawn concentrate and 6% vinegar.

I had a salad from a bag once that made me sick. I got paranoid after that, I think.
I remember one night I had one too many glasses of wine and made some mushrooms. I had forgotten to wash/scrub them. I looked in the pot after they were cooked and was like:

they grow them in horse/pasture manure.

It's obvious some of you posters have never worked in commerical agriculture. I have and trust me you would wash your veggies with soap afterwards.
