You are right of course, far too many people do not have the luxury to pick and chose "junk" food over "food". All food is fuel at the end of the day bad or good IMO. I do think we could be a little more restrained with the garbage which is put into our food though.

We have the technology and knowledge to assist us in eating as healthily as possible, our lives have in many ways never been so easy ( most of us would not last a day never mind a week if we had to work as our ancestors did) and yet do not exploit those advantages.

A large part of the Majority world is dying because they lack access to clean water, healthcare and enough food and we in the West are getting sick and dying of certain ailments because we eat too much and not well enough. The irony should not be lost on us .

Anything that doesn't add to your over all health and well being I consider junk food. That doesn't mean I don't partake now and then.

All carbs except for carbs contained in fresh fruit and vegetables I consider to be junk food.
