Diet Pepsi will feature a new formula as early as next year. The taste will remain the same, but the sweetener formula will be adjusted to prolong its shelf life, reports AP. The current sweetener, aspartame, loses its strength at a faster rate than the high-fructose corn syrup used in most regular sodas, and Pepsi is hunting for a mixture with more durability.

Diet Pepsi Changing Sweeteners - Taste won't change, but articificial 'ace-K' should improve shelf life

I drink Diet Coke. Diet pepsi is too sweet. I think it's nasty.

I don't drink diet versions of anything. I'd rather have the calories. Wonder if there will be more people complaining after this, though?

So would I if I could, but I can't, so I don't.

And I always preferred Pepsi to Coke when I was drinking full-test sodas, but Coke Zero currently seems a bit more to my taste than Pepsi Diet, so the artificial sweetener changes affect me. Personally I'd like to see all the companies ramp down the sweetener in all diet beverages. They all taste far too sweet to me.
