This is my favorite time of year! Just beginning to get in a fresh crop of new apples. Pie, apple butter, applesauce, and my favorite dinner, an apple with a wedge of cheddar.

I don't much care for Red Delicious....just give me a bag of those Jonathons, please.

Apple crisp, caramel apples, fresh apple dumplings, apple strudel, apple cider...

What is your pleasure?

I loooove honey crisp apples. However, I'm not much for cooked apples of any kind.

We have some mountain property in Virginia that's just down the road from an apple orchard. I'm looking forward to heading up there next month and checking out the apples for sale there.

Hmm Jasper ... I love apples. Again, it's hard to pick out a favorite but I love apple slices pan fried in a skillet with a little brown sugar, butter and cinnamon. This is a yummy side dish that is so good with any pork. I also love fried apple pies and enjoy getting them at festivals.

Gala. I like them because they are firm, not too sweet, and not sour.
