Been wanting to try my hand at homemade sausage, bet it's really fresh and good.
It's super easy. We did loose sausage because I didn't care to get casings at this point. Biggest challenge for me is the standing required to get all the chopping and prep done, so today I alternated standing and sitting. We used the KitchenAid grinding attachment, and it worked perfectly on both today's chicken sausage, and the pork breakfast sausage we made a couple of weeks ago.
I spotted this today in the Food & Drink area (obviously) and the subject was about kale and how to prepare it, who likes it, who will never like it, so on and so forth.
Well, an interesting read and a great recipe to boot, this is absolutely delicious and of course I put lots of fresh sautéed garlic and sautéed mushrooms in with the squash (left out the almonds but put in pitachios instead). Had this with some crusty homemade garlic bread and I ate too much to be honest; no desert for me this evening!
If anyone decides to make this in the future please let me know how it turned out for you and what you thought of this recipe.
Russet, red, okinawan, and sweet potato "hash" with bacon, ham, onions, garlic, topped with fresh herbs, a little cheese and fried egg.
And a side of...... mixed greens? I have a spicy lettuce mix I can harvest.... I don't think I'll add anything to that salad, just real simple.
