I have homemade marinara cooking low in the crockpot since 10:30 this morning and it should be done by 6 pm. We will have it over spaghetti and as side dishes we will have leftover creamed spinach and carrots.
Been trying to do this for a week. I call it "clean out the freezer" casserole. Mezze penne pasta, pasta sauce, mozarella cheese, sausage and an egg to bind everything and some Parmesean on top. After this bakes I will have it with with Cole's Cheesesticks and a salad. I haven't tried the Cheesesticks before -- they were on half price sale. For desert there is a choice of strawberry short cake or chocolate mint ice cream.
