I told myself I wouldn't do it this year, but ... there was a sale on those big bags with different kinds. So I got some some Baby Ruths, some Butterfingers, some Nestle Crunches, and some $100,000 bars ... a week ago.

And what's left? A few Baby Ruths, a couple of Butterfingers, all the Nestle Crunches (used to love 'em, now I don't like them), and some of the $100,000 bars.

I rarely buy candy, but there's something about those aisles full of all those bags of different candy ... they are hard to resist!

Anyone else buy their "Halloween" (yeah, right! ) candy too early this year? I am thinking I should just buy kinds that I don't like so I won't be tempted!

I did that a couple of years ago...white Kit Kats, Reese's, Three Musketeers. I put them up on the shelf in my bedroom closet where the kids couldn't get them, but then the hubby and I could smell candy every time we went into the closet, and by Halloween it was all gone.

The last couple of years I've bought the 10lb cheapie mix bags from Sam's. There's nothing in there that we want to eat. It takes about an hour to give out 20 lbs of candy, I can't believe how busy my neighborhood is.

lol, I don't think I could deal with the smell of chocolate in the master bedroom!

I have moved to a different house since last Halloween -- in my old neighborhood we used to get a LOT of trick-or-treaters. I think I will check with my new neighbors before buying more candy ...

When I read the thread title on the main board, I thought "Well...so you can eat it all silly."

And then I opened it and...whala!

lol, I should just avoid grocery stores (or certain aisles) in the weeks before Halloween ... although they seem to put out the candy earlier and earlier every year!

Oddly enough, my sweet tooth is virtually non-existent. A couple bites of something sweet is plenty for me. However, if you put a bag of chips in front of me, I'm like a heifer at a salt lick!

Sweets: M&M's or Dove Chocolate
Salty: Anything but pretzels or plain potato chips. Give me FLAVOR! (Like Doritos! I hate the MSG but they're the only bad thing I really eat, so...)

I've never had to give out Halloween treats because I've always lived in small apartment complexes that only have studios and one-bedroom apartments. No kids in those.

If I bought that candy the OP did, it would be ALL gone by now in our house.

I purposely wait until just a few days before Halloween to buy candy! It's too tempting to buy it a few weeks before.

HAHAHA!!! You're close by; what's your address? I can take care of the rest of them for you and then you can go buy more candy on Hallowe'en day.
