When Milk was keeping longer than 1-3 days, we'd get it in a gallon. Now we're down to quarts.

I prefer Almond & Soy, and get them in 1/2 gallons. This is so I can get a variety.

Almond Milk, chocolate, vanilla, banana
Soy Milk, chocolate

Whole milk, in half-gallon (2 quart) plastic jugs. A half-gallon lasts us about a week.

I only buy 1 Qt. size, and only in the paper carton - I find it lasts for weeks (I only use prob. a tsp. or so in my morning tea and occasionally have cereal, and just barely wet that - I only know of one grocery store that sells it in the paper cartons - they've been out of stock (like lots of other things lately -

I buy Skim milk in the 2 litre size. It lasts around a week for two of us. I buy more of course if I'm doing some baking or a dish that requires milk.
