I like Triscuits okay, have to have a dip with them though. My favorite is WheatThins, could eat the whole box!!

Not supposed to be eating refined carbs though, so try to limit them. I tried Rye Krisp once, OMG, pure cardboard, ugh.

My husband nearly choked on a Triscuit once. He now calls them the Crackers of Death.

I eat them every once in a while. Cheez-Its are my true weakness, though - which is why I rarely buy them. I could probably eat an entire box in one sitting if I let myself.

I felt the same way about crispbreads. Then I went to a Scandinavian fair with my mother (who is Swedish). They served meats and cheese on Wasa crispbread (broken link), and it was surprisingly tasty. Now at home I like to do the same. Instead of bread, I'll put a slice of meat (roast beef or turkey) and cheese on a crispbread instead of between two slices of regular bread. Sometimes I'll dab some mayo or mustard on the meat if I don't want it completely dry.

The meat and cheese take the blandness away from the crispbread, and the crunchiness of the Wasa eliminates my need for chips or crackers. I love it - and I'm by no means a health food nut.

I always buy the Wasa light rye crispbread. It's not as hard as Rye Krisp, and i use it for making sandwiches all the time. Since regular bread usually has wheat gluten in it, which gives me adverse effects, the rye is about the only thing I can tolerate.

I've never thought of eating a Triscuit as life on the edge. I probably won't start now. Maybe I'd worry about it if I ate a box every day but I probably put away a box a year. I love the fake cheese ones too!

Me personally, I'd rather have a little of the real thing than a lot of the awful 'healthy' substitute. Now if they could figure out how to make the healthy stuff taste better; I'd think about it.

I love the Cracked Pepper & Olive Oil Triscuits. Hello, genetically modified ingredients will make for a more abundant food supply.

What good is that if humans are simply not CAPABLE of utilizing THAT kind of "food" as you call it (that really shouldn't be allowed to be called food)? Instead it tastes enougn like food but it is slowly KILLING US ALL!

When are we going to start putting our health and safety on the same priority level as the taste of our food? When we do that, we'll all begin to realize that you can have as good or better tasting "food" when you eat REAL WHOLE UNADULTERATED FOOD as with ingredients provided exclusively by NATURE .

You DON'T have to sacrifice your health long term to get "good taste" ( if you can call it that) today! So why continue to do it?

I'm someone who has been consciously trying to avoid irradiated and genetically engineered foods and pesticides when I can, for 25 years. I haven't had a brownie made from a mix for 20 years or more, nor have I had any of the stove top helpers in just as long!

I rarely buy anything from the middle aisles of a regular grocery store except cleaning products or paper products.

If you set your mind to it, it is easy to reprogram your mind to only buy quality, safe, and organic and for the few cents more that you might pay, the truly clean fresh taste is SO WORTH IT -- especially knowing that it won't be contributing to the number of FREE RADICALS we all have from eating non natural healthful foods our body doesn't know what to do with--- and simply stores ---(until our immune system becomes so weakened, it turns into a tumor - maybe even a cancerous one).

Ok. I'm stepping off my soap box now

Oh, my god, Emily, please stop these posts. You will have us all eating raw cucumbers and carrots before long. I cannot live like this. I need my horrible, salty, fatty, crunchy processed foods. I need my New York pizza and Hamburger Helper. My whipped cream and chocolate cake. Do not take away the few simple pleasures I have left in life. I beg of you.
