Restaurant Review - Guy?s American Kitchen & Bar in Times Square - NYTimes.com

I fancy myself a good restaurant reviewer, but this takes the cake. Come to think of it the one time I ate at Paula Deens, Lady and Sons restaurant in Augusta Ga it was pretty much the same experience.

What say you?

If his restaurants are anything like his new line of salsas, I believe everything this critic has to say. Guy Fieri's line of salsas are horrible. Absolutely the worst tasting salsa devised. There is no way no how this guy is a cook. His salsa literally taste like a can of nasty chili. And that's about it. So folks, save your money.

I do kind of think that he is getting by on his name lately. I know someone who did go to this restaurant, he said it was terribly overpriced, not very organized, and the food just wasn't that good at all. I could maybe see paying for the experience sometimes, but he didn't like that either.

I still can not get over that salsa. I'm not a picky eater but how someone can make such a bad salsa and sell it to the public is beyond me. Taco Bells taco sause in a packet is better and I'm not kidding. This link says it all.

Ouch. Of course, I have a hard time taking a guy who sports that level of affectation seriously, anyway, so I wouldn't eat his brand of dreck.
