I'll be at my parents' place in Missouri with the entire family. She'll be making ham, scalloped potatoes, spinach salad, corn souffle, and puffed rolls. We plan on having chocolate and pumpkin pies for dessert.

Today I bought a 4.68 lb. USDA Prime boneless ribeye roast from Costco. It was pretty expensive, but I will cut into two pieces and freeze one for later. Actually, I will have to freeze both as the use by date is 12/22. I'm pondering the green bean casserole recipe I saw on The Chew today. It has fresh green beans, caramelized onions, bechamel sauce with cheddar, and is topped with puff pastry. It looked delicious!

I'll be roasting a turkey since Mrsrainroosty has promised our friend/neighbor some of her wonderful side dishes.
(I hear they're wonderful - I won't eat that stuffing with the guts in it.)

I paid over $9 for the same thing. I can't believe they were under $5 anywhere. I think I would have grabbed a couple at that price?

No where does it say that they PAID $4.68/pound. It says how much the piece of meat weighed.

I have decided to do finger foods Christmas eve. Shrimp cocktail, toasted ravioli, cheese and crackers, pigs in a blanket, quiche. Christmas morn will be cinnamin rolls. I always do fresh ham with roasted potatoes, spinach, applesauce and crescent rolls, pie for dessert for Christmas dinner. This year I definitely think it will be Carrabbas.
