I really do not frequent fast food chains, however today I did

So I order a DBL QTR CH Meal with extra onions while I waiting for it
I look at the receipt and notice a 10 cent charge of the x-tra onions
I ask the lady and she yes that is correct we charge for that

Then the lady behind me orders a coffee and a regular burger
and get's FOUR CREAMERS at no extra cost

It's not the 10 cents it's the principal of not telling me about the cost !

I was really thinking about asking why I was not charged for the EXCESSIVE
Ketchup & Mustard or why I did not received a rebate for only having one pickle

Adding insult to injury the meat was not a big as it is in the picture on the order
board

All this enjoyment for $ 7.70, a mistake I'll NEVER Make AGAIN

McDonald's offers nothing but overpriced junk food. their service sucks and the cheap plastic exterior and interior decor is an eyesore. I will never understand why they remain so popular. if you must eat fast food, there are much better options available. In and Out, Carl's Jr, Subway, Jack in the Box...the food is better and cheaper.

I've got to hand it to McD's their marketing and accounting divisions set the bar for all other companies in this field. Think of it. Charging extra for onions..as cheap as they are..it's like charging for dirt...or air or water. And almost everybody loves them on their burgers! Those ten cents per diner really add up if they serve BILLIONS.

Onions are no longer cheap. Grocery shopped lately?

The fast food places have to make up the profits elsewhere when they offer all that one dollar food. Mouser might be the only customer who has ever noticed the extra charge for onions.

I thought only parents with modest incomes went to McDs, because of the play yard and not for the food. There are so many better choices for a burger. I dare say, Denny's probably makes better burgers.

This really isn't surprising. Many restaurants charge more for extras without being upfront about it.

OTOH, having worked in a restaurant years ago, I also don't expect to get something for nothing.

That really is stupid. I mean, how many people actually ask for extra onions? You can have mine. I'm not a fan of them on burgers.

But fast food restaurants never charge you LESS if you order your sandwich without onions, or cheese, or ketchup. One of my coworkers is on Atkins diet and he orders burgers without buns at McDonald'or Wendy's.

Burger King sells a veggie whopper which is a whopper without meat, so just a veggie sandwich. But they charge the same price as a whopper with meat.

Choose your battles, I say. I choose not to eat at Mickey D's.

Maybe so about their burgers, but I love me a Filet O' Fish. And McD's fries are great if you can get them hot. They only have a shelf life of 5 minutes though.
