We were going to go out for dinner then I decided I would make the whole family a nice meal.
I'm making bacon wrapped filet mignon, shrimp scampi with homemade au gratin potatoes, baked potatoes, mixed veggies, jello, salad, beans, homemade cheese bisquits and yeast rolls.
This morning I'm making heart shaped pancakes for breakfast and then I'll make brownies and a double layer chocolate cake with pink frosting for tonights dessert.

Wow! Can I come over?

Living alone, I decided to treat myself. I haven't baked in ages, and really miss the way the house smells when something's baking. So I bought some Toll House cookie dough, and I'm just going to make a few cookies in the toaster oven! Ta-da!

I work 2 jobs, 11-2, then 2:30-8:00 pm. I did make chicken with broccoli, red onions in a garlic sauce and rice but hubby will have to eat this without me . I will be having the same thing but I have to eat it at my other job. If I was not working tonight I would have made him linguini with white clam sauce. I decided I will make him that tommorow night instead because I don't work the 2nd job on Fridays or on the weekend.

I was going to make Spaghetti Pie but hubby decided he wanted Shredded BBQ Chicken in the crock pot instead. Lettuce salad and dessert of some sort.

To be fair, I don't get my hubby a gift, my gift is his nice dinner and I made him blueberry pancakes and eggs this morning too.

We went out, for the last time, about 25 years ago. We went to a restaurant in the Dallas area that was offering a Valentines special so we decided to give it a try. That was the last time, the food was not even fair, the service was awful and the price, though not out of sight was about twice what it should have been. I am very happy to enjoy dinner at home, with a couple of glasses of wine...and a nice hubby to share it with, even if he is a spoiled brat.
