Geez! Reading all these recipes, I no longer think kangaroo rat roasted over 100-year old cow chips was weird! I only did that once and that was one too many times.

One of our sons had a friend spend the night at our home. My son asked him if he would like some French toast for breakfast. He said that he would. When his plate was placed infront of him he looked at the French toast, picked it up off the plate the same way that you may eat regular toast, and took a bite out of it.

My son asked him if he would prefer to cut it up and put syrup on it.

Turns out that he had never had or heard of French toast and this was his first time eating it.

It also turns out that he prefers to eat it cut up with maple syrup poured over it. LOL

In this case, southeastern New Mexico. Those same chips are now 130 years old. They were free way back when but, with inflation, they may now sell by the pound.

Pimento cheese on saltine crackers microwaved so that the pimento cheese is baked into the cracker. Then I put a small dab of mustard on top.

My sister used to eat Ovaltine right out of the jar. And I insisted that my tuna sandwiches be made with no two fish flakes touching.

This is a true memory.

I used to eat sugar and butter sandwiches on white bread. Or is that normal? I also used to make soup sandwiches out of Chunky soup. Not heat it up, just slap it on bread.
