My 16yo middle daughter made this on Sunday and I just upload the pic.

It's an orange souffle recipe from Jacques Pepin.

Tasted fantastic except for a small layer on the bottom where some of the grated orange peeled settled that had too much pith attached. It was her first foray into souffle making without any guidence. Guess I forgot to tell her not to grate down to the white part of the peel last time we made one.

Anyone else have some souffle stories and favorites.

YUM!! Looks better than many I've made over the years. You've done well young grasshopper...Brat.

Yes that's a 1.5quart pot from my 1970's Visions GENUINE CorningWare cookware collection made in France.

Looks amazing

When I was a child, my friend's mom used to make cheese souffles. She would turn the copper bowl upside down over our heads. We would giggle like crazy

I was in New Orleans once at the server said that they had a special dessert for the evening - a chocolate souffle if we wanted one for dessert, we should pre-order them. They were a thing of beauty served with a warm chocolate sauce laced with Grand Marnier. I still think of that dessert

Would you believe I've never had one? Tell your daughter she'll have to make me one, as that looks good enough to eat.

Kudos. Give some to the pups. My Grandma used to make cheese souffle, and be oh so careful opening and shutting the oven door.

Congrats to your daughter, soufflés are not easy to master! It looks very inviting, and Jacques Pepin is my fave French chef. If your daughter likes orange desserts, Julia Child had a delicious grand marnier cake I learned as a teen myself. I'm sure it's banging around somewhere on the Internet.

Mmmmmmm..... Salivating looking at the picture ! Your Daughter is obviously a pretty good cook already ! I am so impressed.

Souffles are so wonderful, savoury or sweet ! You are one lucky Dad Bulldogdad , I might have to come over and taste her creations just to be sure it is as tasty as it looks ! After all I owe it to myself to be entirely scientific about this !

Grand-Marnier Souffle, Pistachio, Cheese, Crab etc... Hot or Iced it should me mine, all mine !! Mwah, hah, hah, hah....
