I just moved to Virginia. Local Grocery Store (chain store actually) has a fried or rotisserie chicken for ... $7.79.
Wonder what the rest of the country was seeing for a cooked bird. They come in mighty handy. Seems I remember the ones in Georgia stores being cheaper. More along the 5 - 6 dollar range.

Edit. Please don't give store names, or how the price is "terrible.". Be generic.

Depends. In the membership stores, the giant 3lbs chicken is $6. At the supermarket, a very dry, maybe 2lbs bird is $8.99 (NYC).

$5 - $8, depending on size of bird and whether it's from a high-end store or discount warehouse (North AL).

In Honolulu, the place I like to buy a whole rotisserie chicken it's $10. Yes, it's a bit pricy, but it tastes really good.

Between $4.75 and $7.99. When you know what time to go in the evening they mark them down so you can get them at certain stores for as low as $3.00.

In Western Mi, where my sister lives, they can be had for $5.99 (a small grocery chain) or $6.99 at major chain, bigger bird. Reduces after 7 PM to $5.49.

In Chicago Metro, anywhere from $5.99 to $7.99...no discounts after anytime because they are usually gone by 7 PM.

Best regards, sincerely

H.E.B. has grilled whole split chickens for $5.00. Down the street, a meat market has dinner time fried chicken deal. 10 piece fried chicken[they cut breasts half in 2], four dinner rolls and large potato wedges[4 season coated] for 8.99. The potato wedges are worth the trip. 25 cents each for extras-six are a large potato.
