Steak on the Coals -GrateTV - YouTube

These guys are doing it on coals from that premium hard wood charcoal. The other fellow was doing it on top of coals he made using hard wood out doors. Looks like you can do a decent steak just laying it on coals.

Better not put any lighter fluid on those coals.

Cut off the burned parts. Like scraping toast.

That's known as "Tarzan steak", I believe.

I remember seeing it in a Boy Scout Manual in the 70s.

It seems to me you run the risk of burning the outside and undercooking the inside.

I like a Pittsburgh steak as much as anyone but I don't like the taste of charcoal.

is the charcoal organic???

if someone sneezed while cooking steaks.....most consider it gross and wont eat the steaks...... yet......if laying a steak on a briquette is ok???

if a person started eating a briquette by itself......you'd think something is wrong with that person...
but a steak on it is ok?? the only saving grace to me ......on god knows what chemicals are in a briquette is....its heated and lots of issues are killed
