When I was a kid, I would say finding a bean in my can of frogs was even worse!

I'd probably be dead from shock so I wouldn't have to worry about eating any more beans.

This frog would cure me of future eating of beans from a Meijer's can. Other can beans of other brands it wouldn't.

I wouldnt mind at all, but I would probably throw the rest away because it's been contaminated by the dead frog / toad

I find little green caterpillers in my salad mix all the time, sometimes still alive

I found a chunk of aluminum inside a heath food bar once and sent it back and they sent me a whole case for free.

People eat stuff out of cans? Weren't cans created for MREs? Why are people living in a non-war zone eating that crap?

I eat baked beans out of a can and make my sauce from canned plum tomatoes, so I guess I don't have the pleasure of being a snob about it.

Nope, and since there are defined FDA limits of "organic material" other than listed ingredients allowed in nearly every processed food- including insects and worms- so folks sensitive to that fact should either stop eating foods processed by others or just pretend that they are not consuming perfectly harmless "bugs" in their food. And finding a little caterpillar or worm in your organic salad mix is just the best evidence ever of its healthy, pesticide free growing cycle. Just a little extra bonus quality protein to kick up your salad a notch.

I will admit it would probably startle me for a sec, and then I would think how cool and unusual it was- spoon it out and keep it or at least certainly memorialize it with a picture for a fun little cocktail hour story in the future

Since we used to go frog gigging often as kids and my mom would prepare those legs as a skilled French chef would with a lightly seasoned flour coating and sautéing in butter and sherry, the thought of eating a frog has long since passed into the realm of reality with tasty memories to boot!

You can change that, and you'd be surprised to know that the cost isn't any different. Have you ever blended up some of your own homemade tomato sauce from fresh ingredients gathered from a local farmers market? You can make large batches, and freeze or place in glass jars.

There is no good reason to not eat canned beans. The reason people eat them is it is far more efficient and convenient.

Also, I find it highly unlikely that you are just now learning that people outside of war zones eat things from cans.
