I'm not talking fast food. When you go out to eat or make them at home... what makes a good burger best?

The poll has multiple options, so pick everything that applies

At home, I prefer "other".

We love to make 'em stuffed w/horseradish cheddar and Peter Luger steak sauce on top, all on a toasted poppy seed roll! Yum, yum!

Even though I like cheese in other things, I hate it on a burger, something about the smell.

I like....

>ketchup
>mustard (lots)
>lettuce
>tomato
>raw onion
>pickles

I really LOVE a burger topped with sliced avocadoes, I slice them up, I put a little salt on them and a little lemon. This is my 'other'

Bacon is good but not necessary.

I have to have cheese and I really like to try different cheese. Have you ever had bleu cheese on a burger? OH MAN. Stilton is good as well. Different kinds of salad dressing is also good like Thousand Island dressing.

as for pickles, I like a spear on the side ocassionally. Sometimes I like relish, but not as required as mayo & ketchup.

Lindsey, I love to dip everything into bleu cheese.... (ewwwe) except pickle spears Don't ever try it. (lol)

Lindsey, given that I'm from Buffalo (chicken wings) you can go just about anywhere and ask for bleu cheese with easy, like asking for ketchup.
