I prefer Pepsi, but I can't say one is sweeter than the other. They just have a different taste. Coke has a a little big of a twang - for lack of a better word - at the end of a drink (end of a swallow/not bottom of the cup/can) that I don't particularly care for. I don't hate it, I just like that Pepsi doesn't have it. Not sure anyone will understand what I am talking about!
Actually I am 100% in agreement. Feel the same way.
I am a LONG time Pepsi drinker who is trying to consume less of either product.
The reason?
I really enjoy the taste of Pepsi better than Coke, but let some of it go flat, and then take a drink! It is clear when you do this that you are drinking pure sugar syrup. Without the fizz it is a truly disgusting taste. Putrid comes to mind.
Really, really bad for you. Complete sugar mess. 40 grams of sugar is TEN Teaspoons in EACH can. Would you just eat 10 teaspoons of sugar? Stay away.
Costco and Wegmans carry Mexican Coke for those who don't want to put large amounts HFCS into their body (or just want the real taste of coke). I'm not sure if they sell Mexican Pepsi.
I think Pepsi has a sweeter and more mild taste. Coke has a jolt to it, and a much stronger taste. I prefer regular Coke, although I drink Diet Caffeine Free Coke. There's nothing like an ice cold Coke ( or Mt. Dew ) when you are really hot.
Coke, to me, goes flat the quickest. And for some reason, I always felt queasy after drinking it. Pepsi occasionally did the same thing, but I could tolerate it better. I like them both, but why the digestive upset?
When I drink cola lately it's usually Coke Zero, it tastes good and has zero calories. I don't really understand what makes it taste better than Diet Coke.

What happened to Throwback Pepsi? Didn't it have real sugar in it?

I sometimes wonder how much better I would look if I had never touched a soft drink and instead drank water every time I wanted a drive. I bet if we could flip a switch and do a comparison, the results would be eye opening. Not just soft drinks, either. There are a lot of better choices we all shoulda/coulda made. I just think it would be interesting if you could tell just how much of an effect any particular choice has had on your body.
