This was interesting. A man held onto a McDonald's hamburger since 1999 and it still looks pretty much the same. Why was it not a gross mass of mush by now or dust? I don't buy the reason stated in the article. Meat should decay normally.

I had a ham sandwich in a baggy in my car for 2 + weeks and it never got covered with mold. It did turn grey, though. Preservatives. Or maybe it was just awesome ham. I'm betting on preservatives.
People have lasted for decades after they died and not turned to mush, so the story is "meh" to me. McDonald's or my ham sandwich. Why does McDonald's get more news. ...ah.. because McDonald's. I see. I shall carry on, now.
