ALl this talk about mushrooms reminds me of a joke.

This woman was widowed three times. First two husbands died from eating poinsoned mushrooms. The third died from a gunshot wound. He wouldn't eat the poisoned mushrooms!

OK, I"ll go to my room now.

I think tonight's going to be baked haddock, some kind of rice, some steamed broccoli with (somebody please hold back Nomad) melted velveeta, and store bought cole slaw.

Have a great day, everybody.

Since hubby is out on the riding lawn mower and is in for another 6 hour mowing day guess I'll give in this one time and cook dinner--again! Besides I just happened to notice the turkey polish kielbasa we have in the fridge says it should be sold by the 21st of Sept and since today is the 22nd I guess I'd best cook it up. It should be ok right---I mean it says to sell by yesterdays date so it should still be ok to use, right? I guess I'll go by what my nose says. I guess it just kept getting shoved in the back of the meat drawer!! So hopefully dinner will be kielbasa with mashed potatoes and fresh broccoli.

Speaking of mushrooms, has anyone other than myself been to the Mushroom Museum in Pa., it is the greatest place. Our daughter, who was 8 at the time and hated it, is now bragging about taking her children there. Lol, the mushroom capital of the world.

Hey, it's about time y'all scheduled a party in a week when I'm actually around to join in! Thanks! And congrats to crazyworld on the star - your reputation is indeed beyond repute.

Hmmm, lessee, what to bring to a gathering of my favorite foodie friends.... Think I'll make up a big crockpot full of carne guisada to bring along, with some grated cheese, salsa and tortillas to go with.

What time and where?? See y'all then!

I used to live near Kennet Square, but never went to the mushroom museum. Ate a lot great mushrooms though!

Debsi-that sounds so delicious.

Just back from the store-thick breaded pork chops, garlic mashed for Mr. L, spinach salad w/mushrooms, corn.

Afternoon all. I have some shrimp and scallops, not sure what I am doing with them. Maybe a Fra Diavalo sauce, will report later and let you know how I cooked them.
