Oh my word, does this thread go by ever so fast!!! WOW.
FlightAttendant - Hi! I'm also very new to this board too! Welcome!
I have steaks marinading since yesterday. So tonight's dinner will be steaks, yellow rice and a veggie. I have no potatoes to make some nice garlic mashed potatoes. If I have time, I will run out. But if not, yellow rice it is.
Old fashioned burgers and fries out of the iron skillet. To make it a little more colorful some tender green peas on the side. Dessert will be some more of the creepy stuff.
Tonight is meatloaf! Of course a side of the mashed potatoes and some lovely green beans! Just picked up some more of those beautiful fresh grown tomatoes at our local veggie stand so we'll being having one of those sliced on the side. My SIL is coming by today from ND. My brother couldn't make it...sigh...the Air Froce decided they needed him in Guam. But I will finally meet my two nieces. One was born while they were still here in the states but the Air Force moved them to Germany right after she was born and then Germany is where the other was born. It will be a lovely little family reunion.

The other day (now pages and pages ago) minniemouse asked "how do you cook hamburg" and I commented on the many ways it can be used....and rattled off some of the more common like burgers, meat loaf and meatballs etc.
I came across this old recipe today and thought I would throw it in the mix...it sure is easy. Hamburger Pudding (a main course not a dessert!)
Saute onion, add hamburger and cook till meat isnt red. Add cooked noodles and mix. Place in greased pan. Combine 3 beaten eggs, 1 package onion soup mix and 2 cups water. Pour over meat/noodle mixture and bake at 350 for 1 hr.
Come on over. About 6:30 EST. Have an extra and plenty of jalapenos to top them off.
I like jalapenos on nachos!!!
