I have some chicken marinating and I'm going to coat it in a oven fry type coating and fix something else I just don't have a clue as what yet. Nothing heavy tonight as tomorrow is the big prep with a big dinner with all the possible trimmings.

The 'lazies' are leaving slowly, but I will boil water for pasta and sausage tonight, and a little chocolate with chile for dessert

My DP is heading out to play tennis and won't be home till later.....but will be hungry when he comes home.....I took out split chicken breasts to roast and will probably do sweet potatoes to go with it....(both are good for my diet ) The local supermarket has been running specials on the split chicken breasts so we have been having a lot of that.....also so easy in the convection oven to cook em golden brown...and almost no added calories. I would like cranberry sauce with them to make them a bit more festive...but that is too high in sugar content...so will forego that until Thanksgiving! There is rice for DP and I will probably have a piece of hearty 12 grain bread to go with it.

My cooking is much more simple since I started the diet....but it is working....today makes a loss of 15 pounds!

Time for me to go and put the chicken on. Still uncertain on the veggies. I will find something. May bake a potato and some pickled beets if we have a jar.

Good for you. Keep it up. Do they make a sugar free cranberry sauce? I would like that also.

Good idea or make your own cranberry sauce with splenda or orange juice. I do mine w/oranges peel and all, crushed pineapple and walnuts.

Sloppy joe's and tater tots! My son's favorite. DH is in Vegas and daughter is at Girl Scouts, so mom and son are going to eat dinner together and watch "Journey to the Center of the Earth" together!

I'm moving to your house! I've lost 8 since the operation, but have maybe put a couple back on. I'll be glad when I can start "moving" again.

DH made pork chops, fried some leftover smashed 'taters, corn and canned carrots (which I did not eat - have to have fresh!). We had an early dinner. Someone was on his way over to see if he wants to buy some of hubby's woodworking tools. Wish us luck. He's here now.

Default Friday night fish fry

There's just something about the traditional fried or broiled fish with lots of homemade tartar sauce and a baked potato that I love. They are common all year 'round up here. My favorite thing is to go to a rural supper club for a fish fry. Much as I'd like to go out tonight though, I'll probably put some frozen fish in the oven and make some fried potatoes. Still deciding, hmm
