Celebration time at the NMS household - Dr. told me I'm a bit ahead of schedule on my healing, so I can ditch the sling. Yay!

No dinner tonight - we stopped at the mall and had Philly Cheesteaks w/fresh cut fries and malt vinegar. Washed down by diet Pepsi, of course! We're both still full, so that's that. I may pour myself a cold beer, tho, just to celebrate my good news.
Did you fling the sling????? Yes-great news.

Debsi - If I still lived on the N. Dallas/Addison border, I'd invite myself, bring the dreidels and some other Chanukah goodies and help you cook. Isn't it great to be able to celebrate two holidays?

Cyn - I used to do the "if my pants feel tight" thing too, but then I discovered elastic waists and worse: spandex blends pants! Your pulled pork sounds wonderful.

Elston - I so appreciate your wit and humor. Thank you for keeping me smiling.

Lacey - 6 lbs - WTG!!! You should consider it to be 8 lbs... 6 lbs lost plus 2 lbs. not gained.

NMS - Glad to hear you're doing great

LOL...my grandfather used to say that about the horse and barn all the time. It's habit more than anything, about the Diet Pepsi. I can't drink "real" soda any more.

skbs, highlands, bebette, cheydee...thanks for the encouragement and support. CD folks is da bestest!

I'm with you about the Root Beer--no, there is none of that licorice flavor at all that I could taste. Just makes it juicy and not that vinagar flavor. I loved it. I sure wouldn't like it if it did taste like Root Beer...way to sweet. Hope that helps!
