Hi all,

My tooth is much better today. I am making a huge pot of veggie and bean soup today. I checked the online ad for my local store and no sale on Prime Rib. Looks like I'm going to have to drive farther away to get the x-mas roast.

Gotta go. Time to hang ceiling. I hear my hubby getting the ladders out. He's starting to holler. "let's go woman we've got work to do" then he always throws in "you need pictures for your story". He's a really, really good guy even though I tease. He is the best guy in the whole world.

Happy Birthday Elston's DP. That menu is so amazing. You never see anything like that down here, this is why I cook all the time. Have a wonderful time and stay safe.

Early dinner in the oven right now, I will be happy when hubby's partner gets back from vacation.
Split chicken breasts stuffed with Vadallia onions, shallots, Chanterelle mushrooms, Gorgonzola cheese, fingerling potatoes fried with bacon and sauteed broccoli in white wine and chicken broth.

Have a wonderful safe day everyone.

Finishing up my Christmas shopping..... only my FIL and two cousins.... then DONE!!!!!!!! YIPPEE SKIPPY! I don't want to enter the Mall this weekend so I am trying to get it done while the girls are in school this week. Crossing the fingers in hopes I achieve that!

Dinner????? Well, Last night was pasta.... Tonight??????? Hubby is home on time but we have Karate.... hmmmmmmmm..... it is a tough one.... Diva still is on the anti Mac and Cheese bit. Soup is now on the list of No No's as well.... Sandwiches, I have been told are ONLY for lunch.....and we have chicken WAY too much.... WHY CAN'T WE JUST HAVE PIZZA EVERY NIGHT? Dang, I wish I could just pick up the phone and order in every night! Would make my job a whole heck of a lot easier.... wouldn't have to play this guessing game every night! LOL.....

I will let you know what the final outcome was later tonight..... LOL

Elston... Happy Bday to DP

Elston- Wishing your DP a very Happy Birthday and many more. Drive careful and stay warm.

I'm between the Onion soup and the Corn Chowder. I love both.

I didn't see the dessert menu. Mayne that's for the best lol.

Have a great time.

Last time DP started wth the onion soup and he loved it.....it was baked in the oven and had a nice layer of cheese melted on a melba toast crouton and a rich full sweetness........I just had the soup of the moment which was a very good home made chicken, mushroom and rice...thick and salty....

Their burgers are great.....the fries seem to be hand cut.???? and they understand the request to fry them crispy......the salads are really wonderful.

They have a seperate dessert menu......we never get dessert.....so I dont know ...... I would be tempted to get their pie.

They also are a Brewery.....and their beers are excellent.
