Oh horray! I figured dinner out! I took out some frozen leftover turkey that I had in gravy and am making hot turkey sandwiches with mashed potatoes and fresh broccoli for dinner tonight!! Plus I finally finished the fresh baked cookies so that will be a great dessert.
Cyn-I was looking at turkeys yesterday (no my in-laws weren't here) as I am starting to crave a nice turkey dinner and then soup. So meatloaf and roast turkey could be on the menu this week.
I am from Sri Lanka and I do not think that I would be able to suggest you any. Because we eat hoppers , string hoppers , pittu, or rice with curries. SO if you are interested ..................let me know............I also would like to know abt the easy recipies you make for dinner or lunch. For a change.........
Hi - nice to meet you and welcome to the thread! It would be lovely to hear some Sri Lankan recipes... please share!
I visited Sri Lanka twice and loved the food - especially hoppers with eggs for breakfast
We are going to eat something light for dinner, and right now I have no clue what that will be. We had a huge Chinese dinner last night and I'm feeling guilty. I ate way too much of fried food. However, it sure was delicious!
LOL.... I know But I was being totally honest.... I have using take out and going out perhaps a tad too much these days.... between hubby working late and the kids schedules.... it has been harder and harder to get the kids fed on time and out the door when they need to be... grab and go has been the life these days.
I think I am going to do very simple and traditional baked half chicken breasts...I might get more creative...but not feeling it now....and we had a nice after church brunch with my son and his family.
