Well I baked a ham Friday night because oldest DD and grandson were coming for the weekend along with one of my friends so there were lots of people to feed. Everyone got there late Friday so not much was eaten. I ended up hurting my knee so my friend cooked on Saturday. I made a pot of redbeans with the hambone and nice chunks of ham on Sunday.
So I have lots more ham. I'm thinking of scalloped potatoes w/ham.
What's the highest bid on the chawdah now? I'll take mine with asparagus. I love them. I'm with Debsi on bananas, except for fried bananas like they serve at Vietnamese restaurants with coconut ice cream and bananas foster with vanilla ice cream.
Poor Normad, stuck eating all the ice cream and pudding...I'll make some bananas fosters to top your ice cream. YUM!
Dinner tonight is Japanese/Chinese style spare ribs, rice, some kind of veggies.
For Dinner tonight I made Crab Legs Marinated in Rum...and I am having this with French Fries....
Easy to make
You take 8 crab legs and split them in 2
1/4 cup of White Rum
1/2Lb of soft unsalted butter
2 teaspoon chopped parsley
1 glove of garlic smashed
1 shallot chopped
3 teaspoon of breadcrumbs
1/2 lemon Juice
few drops of Tabasco
ground pepper
preheat oven to 400 F
place crab legs in dish and marinate in rum, mix the butter and remaining ingredients together set aside..................drain crab legs from marinade and place in oven dish, spread butter over the meat..put in oven for 6 minutes....
Jessie I am with you on the asparagus thing. I cannot even look at it without gagging.
I'm good with the chowdah though.
