Kimba, my grandmother always put the dill in when we had congestion and with the smell of the soup and simmering vegetables seem to make your cold go away faster. I do pretty much the same as everyone else, carrots, parsley, celery. The soup is so much tastier with either chicken stock or chicken broth. Pasta or noodles, separate.

Noodles, I use kluski egg noodles. You probably could find them in Michigan. My family lives in Toledo ohio and they send me some regularly. I boil them on their own and add them to the individual bowls.
Oh yes, you can definitely get the kluski egg noodles in Michigan. That is all my mom uses in her chicken or turkey noodle soups. They are the best. I only use egg noodles in mine as a result.

I don't care WHAT the thermometer reads today.... I wore NO coat!!! it is raining cats and dogs... and gross out... but it isn't bitter cold and I was taking FULL advantage of not having to layer up! Don't know how long it is going to last so I am not letting it pass me by. We are supposed to have some HORRIBLE wind storm tonight with this rain- talking about 60mph.... should be an interesting night! Diva will be home in about 10 min. I just grabbed the McD's and made the Mom's choice- CHicken nuggets and Apple dippers.... Chatterbox was psyched about it... so I am hoping Diva will be. Then off to Karate and I am hoping we beat the wind home.... fingers, toes, legs and arms are all crossed for that one.... don't want to be caught driving in wind like that!!!!
