I don't think I'll be making anything too much for dinner, since DH is off today and we just got back from having a large brunch.

Kelsie-it's just another phase of Crohn's that kicked in. It would be easier to deal with if it wasn't for the wedding, trip, etc. The new meds don't take effect for 2 months-lot of good that does him thru all this.

I am hoping they can break it up.... but I will know more when they get the results from the scan. I think I am putting the cart before the horse a bit. And making myself even more crazy.

I seriously just downed the last of my kettle chip stash.... don't know if that was something that would be helpful in this fight... but... sure did help the nerves. Now I am drinking a giant glass of water.

Kelsie That French Onion Soup sounds so good.... I have a ton of onions that I need to use up.... hmmmm....what if you don't have cognac? I just don't keep alcohol in the house. Could I use something else? I love French Onion Soup but I have never made it..... One of those things that I thought would be better out than if I made it.... Like Tomato Soup... I always think that I would not like it if I made it. Don't know why but I think it would be a bust if I made it.....

Oh Lacey, I hope DH can deal with the wedding and tip ok... that has to be so frustrating for him. And to have to wait for the meds to kick in for two months.... that is stressful.

Dinner tonight will be Salsa Chicken... cooked it last night with enough for tonight... boneless skinless thighs sprinkled with garlic powder, salt and pepper... then covered with a mix of Newman's salsa's... this time was Mango, Peach, and Pineapple salsa's.... covered in a pyrex and roasted at 350° for one hour and then I added shredded cheddar as I was out of the taco shredded cheese.....

With it was an acorn squash roasted with brown sugar, butter, maple syrup and sliced jalapeno's from the jar for a little heat... yummm....

Starch was Near East Spanish rice... went perfectly with the whole thing...

Almost can't wait for dinner now after writing it all out!!! lol

Lacey thanks now I know what you are talking about with the orrichette.

skbs if we all give you a hug at the same time maybe we can blast that stone into powder. Hope you can get it taken care of quickly but in the mean time rest, rest, rest and drink water.

Debsi don't over do first time back in the gym but good for you doing it.

HG hope your interview went well.

We warmed up to 40° so oldest says he will be out to haul off some metal we have piled up in an old barn foundation. Bet we have 4 truck loads of just 'stuff' we would pile up there when we clean up the property now it has been sitting there for a few years bugging me. I hate clutter even though that is outside it is still clutter to me. Be happy when it is all gone and completely off the property.

Swim meet tonight so it will either be veggie soup or breaded tenderloins when we get home later.

Afternoon all, finally kicked hubby out of the house to get some work done and now have control of the computer.

Tonight for dinner, teryaki chicken thighs, veggies and rice on the side. Contemplating dessert as we ate the last of the pie last night. Looking for inspiration. I do have ice cream, so maybe sundaes.

Kelsie - Thanks for the recipes!! I did wonder the same thing as skbs. I don't have those liquors in the house. Is it absolutely necessary?

Jessie and SKBS-I think the cognac will just add a depth of flavor-you can do it without.
